the sun was going to set soon and will was not going to miss it. it was almost 8:30 which was the time he told his girlfriend of a few weeks to meet him at the dock. they had talked on the phone earlier that day and he told her that there would be a surprise waiting for her there. after he had talked to amy on the phone he went to the front desk of the hotel, atlantis, and asked if he could rent a yacht. the concierge told him that his (william’s) dad’s friend who was letting him stay in paradise, owned yacht and he was allowed to use it. he couldn’t believe his luck so for the rest of the day he got ready for his and amy’s romantic evening.
will maybe have been from new york but he had learned how to steer a boat at a young age when he visited jersey shore. he wanted to surprise his girlfriend with a nice date since he could be romantic if he wanted to. since he had been bored he toyed around with the boat before their date was scheduled before heading back to his room to get dressed for their evening. he picked out a white button down shirt and cargo pants. it wasn’t great, but it was a good as it was going to get.
checking his watch, will noticed it was close to 8:30 and it took at least ten minutes to get to the dock due to the resort being to large. he began to walk from his room, heading toward the dock. as he jogged to not be late he saw a golf cart pass by and he waved him down. ”where you going?” william asked as he slid into the passenger seat. the worker took him to the dock where he got there in perfect timing. ”thanks dude!” he waved as he walked to the yacht where he would be having a romantic evening with amy. he climbed aboard and waited for her, even though she didn’t know they were going for a boat time. that was his element of surprise.

JUST LIKE EVERY NIGHT HAS ITS DAWN , Amy always enjoyed winter in the Bahamas. The weather was amazing and there weren’t all that many people hanging around all the time. It was nice. Though Amy would be the first to admit that she enjoyed all the people. She loved meeting them and seeing them and often times messing with them, whether she was being her typical mischievous self or finding someone to entertain her for the night. She was a social girl. But the off season wasn’t so bad, especially not this year. She had found William Fletcher to keep her company and though she would never admit it she actually kind of liked him. He was gorgeous and interesting and he intrigued her enough that she accepted the term girlfriend. Amy wasn’t an idiot, though. He was a tourist. He was here for vacation or relaxation or jus to be somewhere warm when everywhere else was so freakin cold. Either way, he wouldn’t be here long. Maybe that was what she liked about it, though. She liked that it might not be a long term kind of thing. After all, Amy wasn’t one for long term anything. She preferred to live in the moment, the future always extremely far from her mind. And at that moment she was getting ready for her date. Amy wasn’t sure she completely liked surprises, though she did enjoy it when her boyfriends doted on her, so she figured she could be okay with this. She didn’t like not knowing what they were doing or where they were going though. It had something to do with a boat, she supposed, though. They were meeting at the docks. Her detective skills ended there, though. So she went through her usual routine of getting ready and after throwing on a pair of jeans and a white shirt she slid into her flats and was out the door. She checked the time on her phone, and for once it seemed that she would be on time. She didn’t rush to get there, but before she knew it she was stepping onto the dock, her dark eyes searching through the dimming light for her boyfriend. She was getting ready to pull out her phone to call him when she finally caught sight of him. She smiled and walked towards him, throwing her arms around him and kissing him when she finally reached him. “Okay, Will, I’m here. What’s the big surprise?” She was tired of being out of the loop, and she wanted to know now. tagged: william jesse fletcher // words: 421 // notes: here you go, my dear! =D // credit: made by luna. do not use.

will sat on the boat, watching the waves roll out, toward the horizon during low tide. it was all just so peaceful and relaxing, but then again he was in paradise for winter break. none of his friends had been so lucky to go the bahamas besides miranda who lived there for part of the year it seemed. it was crazy that he had found a girl as great as miranda to be his girlfriend while he stayed on the island. it was a bit crazy as they both knew he would be going back to the states at one point when it was his calling, but he knew that he would be back one day. wither it was for a movie (if he ever got a part in a film), vacation, or just to come say “hi.” he smiled to himself as the boat rocked to the beat of the current, ever so gently.
coming up from behind him, a pleasant surprise showed up, tossing her arms around his neck and began to kiss him. william kissed his girlfriend back, giving her a warm hug with it was over, lifting her up for a few seconds and then setting her back on the ground of the boat. ”well hello to you too,” he smiled, surprised she found him. maybe he wasn’t as good at hiding as he thought. he wasn’t hiding from her, just making it a cute little game. ”what do you mean what’s the surprise? you’re standing on it!” he said excitedly, waiting for the light in her head to go off. ”the guy that is my dad’s friend owns the boat and we’re allowed to use it,” he explained with around broad smile. he was a bit surprised himself that she didn’t know that the yacht was the big mystery, but that was okay. maybe she was expecting more, but for will, this was as good as it got for a romantic boat ride.
”and then i was thinking we could have some snacks if you’re still hungry and some beer,” he said, pointing to the picnic basket on the ground. beer may not be too romantic, but he dreaded champagne and only drank it at formal parties, which wasn’t often. he was a guy after all, beer was his favorite.

JUST LIKE EVERY NIGHT HAS ITS DAWN , Amy wasn’t new to boats. She lived on an island in the tropics. However, she didn’t go out on such things often. She usually liked having her feet on solid ground. Still, she wasn’t above enjoying such things. She had suspected something dealing with a boat, though she definitely hadn’t expected something so big. Not that she should have been surprised. People that were hanging out around here this time of year could afford such luxuries. She was glad when she saw Will, though. Their relationship was somewhat dysfunctional, and Amy knew that had a lot to do with her, but when they were good they were good and she always enjoyed seeing him. ”Well hello to you too.” He sat her back down on her feet and she grinned up at him. ”What do you mean what’s the surprise? You’re standing on it!” She glanced around like she hadn’t noticed the boat at all. She had been searching for details, though. ”The guy that is my dad’s friend owns the boat and we’re allowed to use it.” Well that was cool. “Oh realy? So what are we doing with the boat?” Most liking going for a ride but Amy could think of other possibilities… most them were illegal. ”And then I was thinking we could have some snacks if you’re still hungry and some beer.” She looked where he pointed and smiled. “Well that sounds like fun!” She stole another kiss from him. “So do you actually know how to drive this thing or…?” She left it open to him. If he didn’t, she sure as hell hoped that there was someone around that did. She’d never admit it, but the ocean actually kind of terrified her a bit. She could handle the beach and all that, but open water? Or really even deep water? It was just a tiny bit scary to her. She wasn’t going to let Will know that, though. She was going to keep it together and be her usual amazing self and things were just going to be good. tagged: william jesse fletcher // words: 345 // notes: sorry this sucks so bad! // credit: made by luna. do not use.

amy didn’t seem as excited about the boat as he did, but will guessed maybe shewasn’t big being surrounded by water, even if she lived on an island. ”whatever you want. i was thinking a romantic cruise ride,” will proposed, hoping she would enjoy the idea. he kissed her back when she kissed him and thought a little picnic was a good idea. he had packed a whole case of beer in case they wanted ot get drunk, pita bread and humus, grapes, brownies, and a few pot brownies in case they wanted to have a lot of fun; only if she really wanted to though. ”believe it or not i have had a fair share of visits to jersey shore and i know how to drive a boat, let alone a yacht.” will stood up and walked over to amy and swooped her up, holding her. he then carried over to where he had a picnic basket set up with a blanket laid out and throw pillows on the ground so that they could use them as seats. he set amy down on one and then gave her a peck on the lips. ”i’m going to get this bad boy going,” he announced, heading over to the stern and starting the motor to the boat before jumping onto the dock and untying the rope. he then had to race against time as he leaped to get onto the boat, barely making it. ”that was close,” he chuckled going back to the wheel and steering them out to the middle of nowhere.
”babe, can you grab me a beer?” he called, slowing down the motor so he could spend more time with amy. ”are you doing alright?” will asked, pulling out a cigar from the box that was beside the wheel. he then stuck it into his mouth as he cuffed his hand over it, trying to get his cigar to catch the flame from his lighter. after a few tries it finally worked as he inhaled it and then slowly puffed out the smoke from his mouth. ”do you want one?” he asked amy, not taking his eyes away from the view since a lot of boats were out and he was afraid to hit anything or anyone.

JUST LIKE EVERY NIGHT HAS ITS DAWN , ”Whatever you want. I was thinking a romantic cruise ride.” Amy figured she could get on board with that and be okay with it. There was still the question as to whether or not he could drive this thing, though. He quickly answered that question, though. ”Believe it or not I have had a fair share of visits to jersey shore and I know how to drive a boat, let alone a yacht.” Okay, as long as he knew what he was doing. Cause she really didn’t want to get on a boat with someone who didn’t know how to drive it. That would be awful. “Alright, as long as you’re certain you can,” she half joked. But then he was scooping her up into his arms and carrying her over to his little make-shift picnic. She giggled softly, letting her arms wrap around his neck until he sat her down. She kissed him back and watched him walk away. ”I’m going to get this bad boy going.” She nodded and grinned, her dark eyes watching him as he started the boat and then untied it, jumping quickly and just making it. “That was close.” She laughed with him, glad that he made it because she certainly didn’t know how to drive a boat. When he was behind the wheel and steering them in the right direction, she took the chance to look into the basket to see what he had packed for them and was pleasantly surprised by what she saw. He wasn’t half bad at this. ”Babe, can you grab me a beer?” She glanced up from her search, then quickly located the beer and grabbed one, a somewhat mischievous grin touching her lips. “Oh, so you’re going to be one of those guys, huh?” She was totally teasing, though, and stood up, taking it over to him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his shoulder. She liked being close to him like this. ”Are you doing alright?” Either he was extremely perceptive or she was being very obvious. She wasn’t quite sure which one was true. “Yeah, I’m fine. Are you doing alright?” She saw him light the cigar, but didn’t say anything on it. ”Do you want one?” She shook her head. “No, thanks.” Amy wasn’t above smoking this or that from time to time, but cigars weren’t really her thing. So she would pass on that one. “So how much farther until you can park this thing and I can have you all to myself, hmm?” she whispered next to his ear. She watched him navigate amongst the other boats that were out. He was actually quite good at this, which made Amy just a little bit more at ease. But she still didn’t want him stuck behind this wheel all night. There were a great many things she could imagine happening here on this date, and none of them would happen if all he did was drive the boat. tagged: william jesse fletcher // words: 501 // notes: sorry this took so long!!

”what do you mean one of those guys?” he chuckled, puffing into his cigar. ”by ‘those guys’ do you mean one of those really cool guys who you’re currently dating or a jack ass of some sort?” he felt amy’s arms wrap around his waist as he looked down at her, a smile appearing on his face. he kissed the top of her head, not being able to pay much attention to her since he was busy steering.
will tried his best to navigate around the surrounding boats and yachts but it was getting tricky. it seemed like everyone was going to a party of some sort, making it hard for him to steer. making sharp turns, honking the boat horn, and cussing under his breath all made him get even more frustrated and frazzled. ”i’m good,” he lied. the yacht was harder for him to steer than he guessed, and if he brought it back with a scratch he would be dead meat. all he knew was that he would have to be buying his dad’s friend a new one and will did not want to know how much that would cost. he cursed some more as boats cut him off. they were worse than the drivers on the road. he shook his head as he decided it would be best to drive all the way around the other boats instead of cutting through, which was his main plan. going ape shift he speed up the motor and started to turn the boat. ”be careful, this could get ugly,” he joked, starting the journey around the parade of boats and various jet skis. slowly he made it past the array of boats and soon enough they were past everyone and had the ocean to themselves.
”we’re in the clear,” he announced, taking a sip of his beer and then giving all his attention to amy, turning off the motor and taking her hand. he guided her back to where he had a little picnic set out and he sat down, assuming she would do the same. he set his beer down next to him and saw the basket was open. ”so would you like to start with dessert first, or end with it?” will asked with a playful smile, leaning in to kiss her. he then pulled back and fluttered his eyes open, taking out the bag of special homemade brownies made with marijuana. he opened the zip lock baggie and reached in, taking one out and stuffing it into his mouth. they weren’t that strong, but if he ate enough it would be. he chewed it slowly, savoring the flavor, until he finished every last bite. ”do you want one?” he asked amy. he then reached for his cigar that was in the ashtray and began to puff on it once again. he held amy close as he rocked her, lifting up her chin and leaning in to kiss her.
