an array of clothes scattered the floor and bed of the tall brunette's room as she stood in front of her large closet in nothing but her lace bra and matching black underwear. she had been pondering on the perfect outfit to wear that night. tonight there was suppose to be a huge rager being held at one of her fellow surfer's houses which happened to be an incredible mansion. laila wasn't one to party and drink much, but lately a rebellious side of her had blossomed from within. the stress of surfing and the recent finding out of her being bisexual was a bit much at times so drinking and smoking always seemed to take her mind of it for a while. she knew in the back of her mind that partying and bullshit wasn't the best to do, but for now it satisfied her stressed out worries. with a loud sigh she turned from her closet over to her bedside table where her ipod sat in it's ihome dock. cranking it's volume up she turned it on, letting house music fill her room, hoping it could twerk up her mood before her close friend, kaytee arrived. the two bombshells planned to get ready together before the festivities started later on in the night. laila could already tell that with kaytee by her side it would be one successful winter night to remember. she just hoped that all the stress building up in her would stay dormant until the time was right to let it out. her body instinctively moved to the music as it beated along, before she turned back to her closet getting in an easy set mood. her hand glided through her hung clothes before pulling out a layered mini dress. she pressed it against her body looking into a long mirror in her room, weighing the decision if it was worthy enough to wear that night. as the music boomed out loudly, she heard the faint sound of her downstairs door opening and closing. a small smile appeared on her lips knowing kaytee had finally arrived. "i'm upstairs in my room, doll!" she hollered over the music, hoping she caught it. looking over the dress in the mirror once more she nodded her head before taking it off from it's hanger, tossing it into her closet. she easily slid into the body fitting dress, standing on her tip toes to see how it would look in heels. "hmm, yes or no?" she asked herself still having a debate over it. lately it seemed like laila was always at her battle with herself, even with the simplest decisions.

it was finally the first time kaytee was going to party on the island of the bahamas. her new friend laila had invited her to go since her friend was hosting a party. apparently they knew each other through surfing or something, kaytee blanked out on the details as she was drunk when she received the text from laila. kaytee adored parties; they were her thing, like she thrived for them. she loved getting drunk, having random guys hit on her, and just being carefree with no one to judge her. she had always been a big partier, ever since she became a true teenager. after that she tried her hardest to get invited to every party she could so she could get wasted and make her parents furious, as that was one of her specialties. kaytee hated her childhood; her parents sucked, she almost drowned, and the only people there for her were her two brothers. no one else was ever there for her and she only had those two people to learn on. maybe she had a few others she could talk to, most she shared everything with her brothers. kaytee’s parents never showed any interest in things she did, like school musicals, her gigs, or when she did well in school. it was surprising when they ever remembered her birthday, even if her brothers reminded her mom the night before. if she could she wouldn’t trade in her past though; as much as she hated it, it ended up making her stronger, for the better, even if she turned bitter to talk about her past. she would always become quiet when asked about her past, so people asked no questions, just as she liked it. arriving at laila’s door, she knocked on it, hearing it creak open. she popped her head in, then stepped in, hearing her friend’s voice. ”thank goodness you’re here!” she called, bringing in baggage behind her. stolen from the hotel, more or less borrowed, kaytee had brought a clothing rack filled with four possible dresses that she could wear for the party. each one was placed on its own hanger, wrapped up in a bag to protect it. it was a challenge to get it up the steps, but finally kaytee did and wheeled it into laila’s room. ”this is a fashion emergency!” she cried, stomping her foot and unwrapping the protector from each dress. currently kaytee was dressed in this , since she hadn’t decided on a appropriate attire for the party. ”i have four possible dresses, all waiting for you to tell it which one is going to be worn.”one of the dresses was a short white dress with zippers on both sides. another was a floral dress that was a bit too summery, even if she was in the topics. her favorite that she was skeptical of was unique but it suited her. and the last was white with gold trim. ”which one?” she demanded, frazzled as she dug out her makeup bag, setting it down on the vanity, just to get stuff sorted out.
